      Great skirt

I have two Foxon skirts. I like that the length is not mini but comes to my knees. So much better for work and bicycling. I wore the blue skirt on a 15 hour flight and was comfortable. My reasons for 4 stars instead of 5? The material is very soft. Since there is only one layer of fabric for the pockets, they sag. But at least there are real pockets! Thank you for that. Also the hem tends to curl up. I hang the skirts to dry and smooth them out, but they tend to curl anyway. None of these issues are deal breakers. I have the grey and blue skirts. I would get the Khaki if I had the money.

      not for petite ladies

If you're one of those women that need the appearance of extra girth in your hips, this skirt is for you. While I appreciate that this skirt had 2 real pockets, they're rather large, and they're square on the sides of the hips, so even if you just use them occasionally, they will sag and make your hips look way wider. The other reason the pockets are not really usable is because the material is very thin, and anything of weight you put in that pocket (like a smart phone) will stretch the fabric out and will probably end up pulling the skirt down.
I also felt like this skirt was cut for someone much taller than my 5'4" height. I got a S based on the size chart, and the skirt just swallowed me.
I love the idea of this company, unfortunately, I feel like most of Toad&Co clothes are made for women who are tall and have no curves.

Thanks for your feedback! We're sorry to hear the fit of this skirt didn't work for you. Check out the Samba Luna Skirt this August which is a shorter version of the Foxon (by 2.5" in length). It'll still have 2 on-seam hand pockets. Considering your experience with the Foxon, we would recommend sizing down to an extra small.

      My favorite skirts, period

The large pockets surprised me at first, but now I can't live without them. My two Foxons are my most-used skirts - not just from Toad, but from anyone. This is all the comfort and versatility of the Chaka, with a waistband that lies flat under work shirts, and the addition of pockets making it exceptional. I wear these for days when I'll be running around at work and want my phone easily by my hand - and my popsocket on my phone case holds it up so it doesn't matter how deep or unstructured the pockets are. That depth and lack of structure pays off in comfort and a professional silhouette that makes these my go-to work skirts, and when I do have to haul other stuff around, the pockets shine. I've used them in a pinch to carry cans of spray-paint, notebooks, keys, and more. Please bring the Foxon back! Now that I know how great a Toad skirt in Samba *with pockets* can be, I'm just not wearing my Chaka or Chachacha skirts as often.

Erica- Thanks for the feedback! We're huge fans of pockets over here! Come August, check out the "Samba Luna Skirt" - a simple samba skirt with on-hand pockets. If you enjoy wearing the Foxon, we highly recommend the Luna!
