Cute coat, the color isn’t true to the photo
I had hoped I had just found the perfect yellow jacket, but was quite disappointed to discover that the color of the jacket in the photos are not the same as in real life. The photos have been edited to make it look like a warmer, brighter yellow, when instead it’s a pasty, leaning more towards tan shade of yellow. Not super flattering. :/
However the cut of the jacket is great. I’m going to see if I like it in another color. I REALLY wish this coat came in that fabulous Toad and Co teal that they have for so many of their other garments. That would be a 10/10 in my book.
High quality, Soft, Comfy
I love this coat! I bought it as a fall hiking jacket, but I've also been wearing it around town. I love the butter-colored (and butter soft?) flannel on the inside.
I'm normally a Small in tops/shirts and the Small size of this jacket was a good fit. I wish the sleeves were a longer (one star off for that), but it wasn't a dealbreaker. I do have long arms and so standard sleeve length is nearly always on the short side.
About the color: another reviewer said the color IRL was more muted than what's shown in the photograph. I bought this jacket after seeing it on a store rack, so I knew the true color -- and loved it. Looking at the photo, I guess I can see how it comes off a bit brighter, but not by that much. It's a rich dijon mustard hue which pairs well with lots of other colors. I'm pale and don't normally wear anything yellow-ish, but I think this kind of dark gold looks fine on me.
I adore this jacket. I was very enticed by all of the wonderful color options, but went with the Olive since it'll match with more of my pants. It's just so stinking cute and now I'll have more of a "tavern" jacket than wearing my puffy down all winter. Oh and I love the interior fabric as well, it's so soft! Well done, Toad! Love this one!
I'm 5' 2" and 115 lbs and pretty much exclusively wear an XS in Toad & Co clothes and this was no exception. Perfect fit. Love how it's long and covers my bum too!
Would've been 5 stars
I am 5'4 and wear a L or XL in other Toad and Co clothing. First, I must say that the cut and style of this coat is superb. I ordered the "Dijon" color in XL initially. It turned out that it was less yellow and more brown and I had liked the yellow tone on my screen. So, loving the fit and cozy feel, I just ordered the "Rustic Olive" XL and returned the brown. I received the olive coat today and while I love the color, the fit is just slightly snugger and the stitching quality throughout the coat is inconsistent. I found loose threads galore and upon my closer inspection found multiple uneven seams and tiny flubs of thread where they didn't belong. I did not notice any stitching problems on the brown coat but I also wasn't looking as closely. I will probably just keep the olive because I hate to cough up shipping returns twice. Although, It does feel a little bit like I revived a 2nd quality product.

Good fall jacket, fit could be better
I got this from REI's Labor Day sale. Toad & Co has become my go-to brand because of how well their clothes fit my tall/lean body type. I'm 5'9" and 118lbs, and generally the length on everything but the fitted pants is great. However, I found the sleeves just about an inch short on this jacket. I'm still keeping it, but it's not the fit I've come to expect from Toad & Co. Also, I find the pockets a little awkward to slip my hands into, but generally it's a great jacket.
Very Cute Jacket with Flaws
I'm 5'8" and about 135. I bought the extra small and found the arms to be a little short and tight around the shoulders. The arms and torso fit great, though, and when I compared it to a size small I didn't like the fit at all and decided to keep the XS.
The quality of this jacket is not great. The material is amazing, the jacket is even throughout, but my problem is with the stitching. There are loose stitches everywhere and worse there are skipped stitches, which means the stitching is not secure. I also found one completely ripped stitch on the hood that I will have to fix.
Even with the stitching flaws, I still love this jacket. I've been searching for a jacket like this all year and somehow forgot the last two jackets that I loved were from Horny Toad and I should check out the new winter line for Toad & Co. I can live with the flaws because I'm confident I can fix them, but I do hope quality control gets better and these problems don't persist.

Needs to fit better...
This is a well made coat. However, like a lot of the styles lately the upper body and arms are too tight. You can even see this in the website picture. I am 5'7, 127lbs, 34C with thin build. I am not big by any means. The small fit good from the waist down, but the arms and chest and back were too tight. The arms also taper down to the cuffs on this coat which I dislike. The medium fit good in the chest, still tight in the arms (no way a sweater is getting underneath here), and the body was ridiculously large and frumpy looking.
It's silly, especially with a thin build like I have, that I can't get coats to fit. I could not wear this coat with anything more then a t-shirt. And to get the upper body to even come close to fitting, I have to look like I am swimming in it within the lower body.
I used to wear Toad & Co jackets, but the past couple of years I have given up on many of their items because of the cut. Too bad, because quality is generally good.
But the fit :(
I ordered this jacket in the Olive and have to agree with and other reviewers about the poor fit. When I opened the jacket I did notice that it had several loose threads however overall it looked good and I liked the weight of the jacket. From the photos the jacket appears to hang straight and hit the high upper thigh just below the bum. Since I am generally shorter than most models I actually thought it might hang a little longer on me. Unfortunately, It hung shorter than I would have expected and appeared to puff away from me through the chest and hips. The jacket gave the appearance of a heavy puffy jacket even when unzipped. The pockets fell at an odd point making it uncomfortable to place my hands in them. While the body of the jacket was loose the shoulders were very tight. I tried it with just a T-shirt and it was so tight that I could not get a good arm stretch. I would not be able to wear it with any type of sweater and have any functionality for movement.

I absolutely love this jacket! So cozy, and wears well with everything. I got it in the olive color, and this is perfect for my wardrobe. Got it in XS, and I feel like the size was perfect- I'm 5 foot about 110 lbs.
Great Everyday Jacket
I love this jacket! I bought mine at REI for fall but have been wearing well into winter with thick sweaters underneath. This is a perfect outer layer for the crisp cold here in Colorado but I don't think the water resistant material would hold up in the wet winters of the midwest too well. As a tailor I appreciate the quality of the materials and construction; as an extremely clumsy person I am thankful that my dijon colored jacket is so stain resistant. Overall a stylish, functional piece.
