I love this dress.

It’s a heavier fabric - not hotter, just thicker but it is just as breezy and cool. It does get a lot softer when washed.

It’s probably true to size but the bust area is fairly snug and I don’t think it looks right unless the elastic is under the bust completely. I’m small but still a 34D and the top fits snugly with a thin strapless bra, so keep that in mind when you order

This dress is terrific for travel! The fabric looks like linen, but is much softer and barely wrinkles. I got the tan stripes version for a Mediterranean cruise: it looks so summery, yet could easily move into fall with the right sweater. The empire waists (i. e. , the waistline starts just below the bustline) usually aren't flattering on me because they balloon out so much, but between the clever cut and the vertical stripes, this one works! The cut is still generous enough to be comfortable after a four-course meal. One note on fit: While the dress is "bra-friendly" in that the stripes are wide, unless you're willing to wear a balconette or a bandeau, a bit of your bra may show if you. I went with a standard bra in the same color of the stripes, and it was barely noticeable.
