Believe it or not, this is the first fleece I've ever bought because fleece just doesn't keep me warm, and the reality that any fleece will shed microscopic plastic particles when washed has always been a negative for me.
Because I trust Toad & Co. more than most other clothing manufacturers, I figured: If I'm going to buy a fleece, I'll buy it from them. Their manufacturing and packaging practices have always impressed me, and the many Toad & Co. purchases I've made through the years serve me extremely well as far as quality, fiber content, style and durability.
I LOVE this jacket because the design/fabric is a combo of retro and Maine-vacation-cabin. Plus, chartreuse is the new black in my book. The loose cut allows me to layer it over a hoodie or a sweater, which is essential in the colder months here in Boston, MA. I love the ribbon-like fabric trim, although it would be nice if the front zipper pocket accommodated my iPhone mini.
I also appreciate the nice sturdy coat-hook loop.
I bought size SMALL which still leaves plenty of room for layering.
All in all, I love this jacket and hate to take it off.
