These are super comfy and flattering. My only gripe is as a shorty (5’1” & 120lbs) these do not look cropped on me. I plan to get them hemmed, so not a huge (or uncommon) problem for me. I originally ordered a size 4/27 (my usual size at Madewell and similar retailers) and needed to size up to a 6. The exchange process was super easy and there’s even an option to have the new items sent even before mailing back the originals which is something I’ve never encountered before. Only bummer is that when I received my new larger items, one of them was entirely the wrong item (the label on the bag was correct and since the bag is opaque I figure the worker must not have been able to see that the item inside was the wrong color and a different pant altogether). Unfortunately, I couldn’t do another exchange for the right item and had to do a return for a refund which was a bummer because I had purchased the pants during a great sale that is not active anymore otherwise I would have totally purchased the correct item. Still totally recommend.

I wasn’t sure if they were a little too tight at first, so I went up to a size 12, I typically wear a 10 and I could’ve “gotten away with” a 10 but for me, the 12 is just more comfortable, especially in the warm weather, they do loosen up just a tad bit as the day went on, but not too much so the 12 was still fine and I’m glad I didn’t stick with the snug size 10. They are super fantastic, comfortable and cool in the summer heat! Definitely going back for another pair.
