I'm an older gal who has long lost a waist and I now have all of these colors in size lg and I get compliments every time I wear them. I can wear them with pants without a coverup, which I always wear with t-shirts. It is so flattering and so lovely. I bought the jacket that matches the print and again get compliments every time I wear the set. I worried about the blue but it is not washed out, also not too bright. I think it is worth the money, if anyone is on the fence I recommend :)

Toad and Co is usually pretty aware of creating clothes for women’s bodies, but I have noticed that they have been catering to those on the flat-chested side (in clothes and models) lately. I like the Manzana peasant shirt a lot, but the placement of the front buttons was a big no go for me - even though it was plenty loose, it gapped in front and my bra showed in between buttons. I can sew, so I basted a quick seam down the front (will have to go back and do it better with matching thread). I appreciate that the placket in front was double layered so that my seam could go through the back layer and not show on the outside. The button placement was the reason for 3 stars because it was unwearable without alteration.

Positives: love the blue color, the lace edges feminine but not fussy, the shape of the top edge (collar) is not too high or too low, and the sleeves are loose and flattering. Fabric feels good and the loose fit keeps me cool on hot summer days.

A tshirt and denim shorts is my go-to summer outfit, and this peasant top makes for a fun, elevated version of that outfit. Style and fabric are comfortable, cool, and breezy--gives me the comfortable and easy feel of a tshirt while looking more put together.

I brought the floral print and ivory. I'm 5'9" 125 lbs and bought an XS based on size chart. Perfect fit. If you're between, go smaller due to the loose, boxy style and square neckline.

Some caveats--the egret is more cream/ivory than white as the pictures show. Also I do prefer to iron after hang drying. The fabric does not wrinkle too badly after the initial ironing.
