I got this jacket hesitantly, because I didn't think I needed this kind of piece, AND purple is usually not my color. . . but I'd gotten three other Toad jackets that I'm obsessed with, so I tried it. SO glad I did. First, the color is so light and flattering to most skin tones.

The material is really soft and not stiff. LOVE all the pockets and the cute shapes that make it interesting.

The pattern on the collar is really cute and very subtle. The first thing I thought was, "That pattern would be really cute if I cuff the sleeves too. " Well, Toad already thought of that! So happy to see the pattern on the cuffs. The attention to detail is what keeps me coming back to this brand. This summer girl is looking forward to cooler weather!

I love this coat and I'm so excited to have it for years to come. The purple color is really lovely and the inside and collar details are so fun. I love that the cuffs are easy to roll up since I'm short and sleeves are often a bit long on me. The coat has a little bit of stretch, which makes it really easy to move in and the inside feels great. I had a bit of trouble with delivery and Toad and Co took care of it right away! Amazing customer service!

Great weight and construction. Perfect fall jacket! I've worn it every day since it arrived and hope to continue wearing it for many many years to come. I am typically an 8/10, M/L and went with the large for a slightly more oversized fit. I probably could have gotten away with either size but the large is perfect for layering. Overall I would definitely recommend!

I looked at several jackets in this style and the Balsam jacket took the cake. It is heavier weight than I expected, and will work for Spring/Summer/Fall in the Rocky Mountains. I love that it's organic cotton with a hint of stretch. The flannel lining is attractive and adds warmth and the sleeves are lined for easy on/off with layers underneath. The pockets are awesome - there are 5 - and they're large and deep (though I do wish there was just one internal pocket). This jacket fits my petite frame perfectly in terms of shoulder seams and overall length, however I prefer outerwear to be slightly oversized, and had the small been in stock when the XS arrived, I may have attempted to try a small before choosing to keep the XS. That wasn't the case though, and I loved the jacket enough to keep the XS. if you're between sizes, I would recommend sizing up, especially if you plan to wear the cuffs folded up to show off the corduroy detail. I have short arms and the arms are ever ever so slightly short with the cuffs folded. But despite the arm length, I've practically worn this puppy every day since I got it, and I get compliments every day I wear it. I know it will be a staple in my closet for many many years to come!

I wanted a warm coat that's not polyester so I bought this. It's a little more thick and heavy than i expected, which isn't a bad thing. The body and pockets are lined in flannel and I like the contrast corduroy at cuffs & collar. The hand pockets are nice and deep. I like that it buttons instead of doing poppers & a zip. I'm a 34" bust and got a small which is still oversized which is the style and good for layering. It feels like good quality

and i hope it lasts me for years.
