Women's Tamarack Straight Jean

I have a pair of these already in the “carbon” color. I like them so much I bought another pair in “Malbec.” FYI on color: To me, the colors look much more brown in person than online. The Malbec is not red/maroon but more of a tan/brown. The carbon is more of a dark brown to my eye than grey.

I have worn many Toad and Co pants before, but wanted sturdy pants that were not cropped or tight (slim fit). These are a bit baggy in the legs, which I am totally fine with. I like the high rise (I didn’t think I would because I have worn mid-rise pants for years and haven’t liked the “dig into your middle” or “cut you in half when you bend over” feel of high rise jeans). These are comfy on me though - sort and with enough stretch for mobility. Granted, I am between sizes (12 and 14) and bought the bigger size. After a few wearings they stretch out but are still really comfy. I am going to return the second pair of the jeans for a size 12. Hopefully the high rise will still be ok when they are tighter. The length is good on me.

For reference, I weigh 174 lbs, am 5’7”, and typically wear a L in Toad clothes. I am fairly evenly proportioned in waist, hips, thighs with a slight middle aged belly. Hope that helps!

These are super flattering on my 50 year old not quite as slim as I used to be body. They hold in the bulges without being uncomfortable and actually make my butt look pretty good. They are the perfect length- hit right at the top of my sneakers. I’m 5’8” 170lbs and a perimenopausal apple shaped.

I really like these pants. I have recently gone up a size in Toad pants, so thought I would try these. The fabric is very soft. I don’t usually like high waisted pants, but these work and have the right amount of hold-you-in-ness for a middle aged belly. I wear them to work (as a teacher) because they are nice enough to wear in classes and also tough enough to go out to the garden and playground and get dirty.
